Terms and Conditions of Sale

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions of Sale (TCS) apply to all bookings made with Makako Lodge (hereinafter "the Lodge"). By making a reservation, the client accepts these terms without reservation. The Lodge reserves the right to modify its TCS at any time. The applicable TCS are those in effect on the date of the reservation.

2. Reservation

2.1 Booking Procedures

Reservations can be made by phone, email, or via our website. The reservation is considered confirmed upon receipt of written confirmation from the Lodge and payment of the required deposit.

2.2 Deposit

A deposit of 50% of the total booking amount is required to secure the reservation. This deposit is non-refundable unless specific conditions mentioned below apply.

2.3 Booking Confirmation

Once the deposit is received, the Lodge will send a booking confirmation by email. This confirmation includes the reservation details, amounts paid, and the balance due.

3. Rates

3.1 Prices

Room and service prices are those in effect at the time of booking and are quoted in Euros. They include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Prices may change without notice, but rates confirmed at the time of booking will remain unchanged for that specific reservation.

3.2 Additional Services

Additional services (excursions, meals not included, etc.) are not included in the room rate unless otherwise stated in the offer or booking confirmation.

4. Payment

4.1 Payment Terms

The balance of the reservation must be paid no later than at the time of departure. Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or any other payment method accepted by the Lodge.

4.2 Late Payment

If the balance is not paid within the specified deadlines, the Lodge reserves the right to cancel the reservation without any obligation to refund the deposit already paid.

5. Cancellation and Modification

5.1 Cancellation by the Client

Cancellations must be made in writing (email or mail). Refund conditions depend on the cancellation date relative to the arrival date:

5.2 Modification of the Reservation

Reservation modifications are subject to availability and may incur additional fees. Any modification must be requested in writing and confirmed by the Lodge.

5.3 Cancellation by the Lodge

In the event of cancellation by the Lodge (except force majeure), the client will receive a full refund of amounts paid or be offered an equivalent alternative stay.

6. Check-in and Check-out

6.1 Check-in and Check-out Times

Rooms are available from 12:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 AM on the day of departure. Any late departure may incur additional charges.

6.2 Late / Early Check-in

Late or early arrivals must be communicated to the Lodge in advance, and the Lodge will do its best to accommodate them subject to availability.

7. Responsibility

7.1 Lodge's Responsibility

The Lodge strives to provide quality accommodation and services. However, it cannot be held responsible for interruptions or service failures due to events beyond its control, such as technical failures, extreme weather conditions, or actions by public authorities.

7.2 Client's Responsibility

The client is responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their group to the Lodge or its facilities. Repair or replacement costs will be charged to the client.

8. Safety and Behavior

8.1 Safety

The client must comply with the safety instructions and rules of the Lodge. The Lodge disclaims any responsibility in case of non-compliance with these instructions.

8.2 Behavior

The Lodge reserves the right to deny access or expel any client whose behavior is deemed unacceptable or disruptive, without refund.

9. Personal Data

Personal information provided by the client when booking is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Lodge is committed to protecting client privacy and not disclosing information to third parties without their consent.

10. Disputes

In case of a dispute, the parties will strive to resolve the issue amicably. If no agreement can be reached, the dispute will be submitted to the competent jurisdiction in Hellville, Madagascar.

11. Acceptance

Booking at the Lodge implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.
