Before settling on Nosy Komba, Antoine spent more than ten years in audiovisual production and art direction. It's that creative eye he brought here — in the design of the bungalows, in the attention to detail, in the way the lodge blends into the jungle without ever forcing it.
The lodge sits on 2 hectares of private forest at 70 metres altitude, on the heights of Ampangorinana. The bungalows are built from local materials. Every balcony looks out over the sea and the Lokobe Reserve. The lemurs come at breakfast.
Nadia, his wife, cooks every day with fresh produce from the local market and fish delivered each morning by the island's fishermen. Garden herbal teas, house-made lychee rum, lobster on request. The team — Mbola and the others — knows every trail, every excursion, every guide on the island. They are what makes the lodge.
Accommodation
Perched at 70 metres altitude in the lodge's private forest, the most intimate accommodation. Local wood and thatch construction, double bed with mosquito net. The open-air shower looks out onto the canopy. Private balcony with direct views over the lagoon and Lokobe Reserve. Lemurs come to the balcony.
The lodge's largest bungalow for 5 people. Large covered terrace with sea view, perfect for shared meals or sundowners. Built with local materials in the heart of the forest — birdsong at dawn. Ideal for families with children or groups of friends.
Nestled in the vegetation, this room for 3 offers the best value at the lodge. Separable beds (double + single), jungle view from the window. Ideal for a couple with one child. Cooler atmosphere thanks to the canopy shade.
The villa for large gatherings. Up to 12 people, panoramic view over the Nosy Be archipelago from the terrace. Generous interior with mezzanine, suited to groups of friends or multi-generational families. The only accommodation at the lodge with a 180° view over the lagoon.
At the heart of the lodge's 2 hectares of private forest, this villa for 7 is the lemurs' headquarters. They come down every single morning — guaranteed at breakfast. Wood and thatch architecture, generous space, terrace immersed in the canopy with sea views.
Getting here
Boat from Nosy Be port or Ankify. About 30 minutes by sea. Antoine can arrange the transfer on request.
10 minutes' walk from Ampangorinana beach, then 3 minutes of steps. Steep but short climb. Closed shoes recommended.
No ATM on Nosy Komba. Bring cash from Nosy Be before boarding. No roads on the island — foot or pirogue only.
