Excursion 01 · Every morning
Early morning, the black lemurs come down from the trees to the lodge balconies. This guided walk through the private forest lets you observe them in their natural habitat — no nets, no enclosures. A unique experience that few lodges can offer.
Excursion 02 · Full day
By boat, we follow the entire coastline — from Ampangorina to Anjiabe, via Antamontano (pirogue carpenters' village) and Andrekareka (potters' village). Snorkeling in coves, stops in villages. Dolphins often escort the return journey.
Excursion 03 · Half day
Lokobe is the last primary forest on Nosy Be — 740 hectares accessible only by pirogue from Ambatozavavy. Wild black lemurs, panther chameleons, boa constrictors, endemic flora. Insect repellent essential.
Excursion 04 · Half day
Uninhabited island 20 minutes by boat, with an intact coral reef. Snorkeling over corals, relaxing on the white sand beach. Perfect for a half day.
Excursion 05 · Full day
Two islands in one day. Nosy Tany Kely for reef snorkeling, then Nosy Sakatia for the natural sea turtle pool. Picnic on board.
Excursion 06 · 3h · Moderate level
Depart from the lodge at 70m altitude toward the Nosy Komba ridges. Panoramic views over the archipelago, through ylang-ylang and vanilla plantations, passing through Antamontano village. About 3h, moderate level.
Excursion 07 · Full day
From July to September, humpback whales migrate through the Mozambique Channel off Nosy Komba. Boat trip to observe them — breaches, blows, flukes. High sighting rate in season. Book in advance.
Excursion 08 · Full day · 2h by boat
Two islands connected by a white sandbar submerged at high tide — one of Madagascar's most iconic images. 2h from Nosy Komba. Snorkeling, walk on the sandbar, lunch included.
Excursion 09 · Half day
Three volcanic rocks emerging a few kilometres from the lodge, surrounded by a rich coral reef. Renowned snorkeling site for fish density and water clarity.
Excursion 10 · 2h · Sundowner option
2-hour trip by traditional pirogue at sunset. No agenda — just the calm, orange light over the lagoon, and sometimes dolphins. Sundowner option available on request.
Excursion 11 · Half day
Trip with the lodge's local fishermen partners. Line fishing from the pirogue, return with the catch of the day — sometimes cooked that evening by Nadia.
